Born in Racine, Wisconsin, in 1972, I studied art and graphic design at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. In 1995 I cofounded Adjacency, a design firm where I designed and art-directed web presences for brands including Adobe, Apple, Land Rover, Tag Heuer, Patagonia, Specialized and Virgin. I co-authored a book on web design, and my team's work was recognized by the Clio Awards, the One Club and Graphis.
Self-taught, I started taking pictures in the early 2000s and a journey through Brasil in 2006 sparked a full-time pursuit of photography.
20% of proceeds from my fine art print sales are donated to the non-profit organization BrazilFoundation, whose mission is to mobilize resources and talents to contribute to the improvement of social conditions in Brasil.
